Jason Gonzalez: Portfolio

For beveragesandsauces.com, the client and I came up with ideas for t-shirts themed around alcoholic beverages. Among those designs, this one best represents illustration.

For reference, I found images of grapes and vines to replicate in Inkscape. Vines and grapes represent the t-shirt's slogan well.

Two designs were created for use against light and dark t-shirt colors. Since these designs were for Merch by Amazon, I utilized a provided image placement template.

These logo ideas were for Free Goods and Stuff, a website that did not go online. However, I included them to demonstrate typography and illustration.

In addition to the original color logos, grayscale versions were also needed for flexibility with varied backgrounds. The designs were meant to be placed on a black background within the website's header.

The images above represent the evolution of a logo design. I first presented the client two logo variations. After coming to an agreement to smooth out the edges and add more gloss to the logo, the final look we agreed upon is presented below.

After many years of the original logo, the client needed a more modern update. We agreed on simplifying the 3D look and used a new font style. I removed the gray background and bounding box.

The two variations are a stamped effect for larger sizes and a non-stamped look for smaller sizes.

The final files were delivered in .svg, .pdf and .png formats.

In this class project, a computer illustration I previously drew in Adobe Illustrator was placed into a fictional advertisement. I Adjusted the drawings in the ad for comparison.

In this project, I placed a still life illustration I drew into a fictional art show advertisement.
